Default ‘00 Civic DX Coupe Transmission Noise

I’ve got an EK coupe with the stock Y7 (stick). The car has been making this funky noise coming from the tranny. It sounds like one of the internal bearings? Please note: the noise goes away every time I push in the clutch pedal.

Here’s a video where you can really hear it:

Throw out bearing or input shaft bearing or both. Most likely, throw out bearing...

If the sound is there with the clutch out. it's most likely one/both of the Main Shaft Bearings. If the sound is there with the clutch in, it's the TO bearing. Just went through this last year. Changed all the trans bearings, including the clutch/flywheel and throw out bearing, all good now.

The ISB is known to sound like a cricket chirping when it gets bad.

Pushing in the clutch pedal lets the input shaft stop spinning and the sound goes away.

Throwout bearing, when bad, usually creates the worst sound when the clutch pedal is pushed in as that is when it is most loaded.

Do you know how many miles since the last clutch job? If you don't know or it's been more than 50k, might be worth doing one.

Last clutch job was about 3 weeks ago. Took it to a local shop, had the clutch and flywheel replaced. They installed the O'Reilly "Powertorque" clutch kit and flywheel, along with the throwout bearing. The clutch kit was $120, $60 for the flywheel; brand new from O'Reilly. But now I'm thinking it's the input shaft bearing as TomCat39 said. The sound goes away once the clutch pedal is pushed in. They must have not replaced the ISB, but I'm not sure if the kit came with one?

I think you might be right. It sounds just like a cricket chirping when the car is idling (as seen in my video). It goes away completely when I push in the clutch pedal.
