I have a 98 Honda LX. In May the check engine light came on and the speedometer started jumping back and forth then the car would jerk when going into one the gears. Mechanic ran diagnostics and determined which sensor, I thought it would be the VSS so “I Believe” he changed it (used) but there was no change. Further, he thought it might be the transmission so “He Said” changed it (used) – no change. When to another shop they ran diagnostics determined it was 2 different 02 sensors. Kept popping fuses – determined wires underneath car damages near muffler – fixed.
Check engine light off, speedometer working drove approximately 20 miles jerked a little, check engine light back on speedometer not working.
