Who makes cats for Hondas?
I am getting CELs on my 1999 Honda and since oxygen sensors, belts, hoses, and other accessories are made by other suppliers, often available for less elsewhere, I wanted to ask about catalytic converters.
Searching for it has not yielded anything.
No, I will not:
drive with the check engine light,
use defoulers,
reduce exhaust flow by destroying the internals,
replace with straight\test\peace pipe,
or any other nonsense I am installing a good cat, ideally a factory one.
Thank you very much!

Good cats are expensive based on the amount of noble metals they contain. (Platinum, palladium, rhodium, cerium) are the big ones. The more metals ,the better the cat works and the longer it lasts. This is why dealer cats are so expensive. It dosnt mater who you buy the cat from, if it is expected to last as long as dealer cats, you'll be paying the same price.
If one is available for your vehicle, find a cat that is CARB certified. Those are good cats and carry a 5 year warranty. Thats the best you could hope for short of a dealer cat.

Just got one for the CR-V from Rock Auto that my buddy who owns a exhaust shop recommended, Eastern Catalytic. It was their premium metal one (top of the line Rock Auto), CARB certified/ Cali Legal, and only set me back $145 with new bolts.

I bought a magna flow direct fit, and a denso 02 sensor off amazon for 200 ish dollars. I would have new stainless steel hardware on hand. Be prepared to cut those fasteners off.
