Default TIMING. (Photo).

96 Accord f22b1

I'm doing water pump/timing belt. I'm removing the old belts and look at my tdc on my crank Pully and notice it's off by about a tooth. The car seemed to run fine. Should I line it up or is it going to cause problems. Yes I've searched around couldn't find a definitive answer. Please help as I have work in the morning and need to know. Little dirty but you see the raised arrow.
Cleaned it off for pic. Those white marks were already there so idk what has been done previously

No cam is lined up perfect. My gut would be to line the mark up properly only thing throwing me off is the motor seems to have been running fine since I've had it.

Cam would be advanced a tooth, whatever that is in degrees. So the engine might feel a bit more peppy but you would lose a bit of the top end power.
Do the job properly and align the marks on the crank and cam to keep the cam to piston timing correct.

Quick question. My manual says to only coat the bolts with rtv not the o ring(water pump). I read a lot of people coat the o ring. What you guys think?

Don't recall coating anything with anything. O ring is fine as is, putting sealant on the O ring will only make a mess and be a PITA to remove the WP later.
Just a dab of RTV on the corners on the cam cover gasket where it goes over the camshaft.

Thanks again. I already put it together without any rtv. That's how it came apart and never leaked before. Just all the sudden started pouring out of the weep hole
