Speed sensor gear fell in transaxle

Default Speed sensor gear fell in transaxle

I replaced speed sensor but gear fell in trans and is metal. i tried taking it out with magnet but fell back in and couldn't take it out. will leaving it there damage my trans? or will i need to take it apart? pleas need help please

hmmm...loose metal piece inside of a transmission with close tolerance surfaces, bearings and gears...I think you know the answer? If you can't fish it out, crack open the case and retrieve the part and inspect for any other service items that you need to replace at the same time. How many miles on the transmission?
