i have a b20b with a p8r head not thinking about going vtech because already have the p8r
ctr high compression 84mm piston
arp rod bolts
skunk 2 stage 2 cams(any suggestions?)do I have to upgrade my springs and retainers?
370 injectors with upgraded fuel rail and fuel pump
Is the itr water pump any different from the gsr?
would it be around 170whp with a tune

i just want to see everyone's suggestions (any other upgrades I should do?)

 

Yes, you do have to change valve springs and retainers. ITR and GSR water pump is the same part number. It is not necessary to change to a VTEC water pump... it will spin slower with the larger pulley and will not add any additional cooling volume over your stock LS water pump. It should make your number with a quality tune... assuming you have a quality header and exhaust system.

 

You'll want a short ratio tranny for sure. Other than that, I ran a 170hp B20z (just stock head) with Crower 403 cams for years and it's a great torquey reliable engine.

Theres another one that the mods deleted. These 3 + that one + this one makes 5 threads about p8r head, b20b block, rc 370cc injectors etc.
