CV replacement nightmare.
I did the ole between the fork method for the CV joint replacement. Passenger side of a 99 v6. Got the CV joint in and seated and the lower control arm is about 2 inches away from aligning with the wishbone for the throughbolt. So the wishbone is LOWER than the control arm. Problem seems to be I cannot raise the shock and therefore the wishbone without pulling it out and the axle from the transmission with it.
How do I raise the shock (compress it) so that the fork aligns? It's so far low I can't raise the hub assembly to get the lower ball joint into the lower control arm.
The spring doesn't apprear to the the issue. Is it?

Some reason I can't upload an image. I'll fix that tomorrow. I should have included pictures. They really help explain everything. I'll update later. But essentially, I need the rotor raised. But the axle is hitting the top of the wishbone which won't raise so I could attach the lower ball joint back.
I remember in situations like these I had to remove the two bolts holding the radius rod to the lower arm but you might want to try just removing the fork and putting the ball joint in and then setting the fork back in, I think in that situation you should be able to just push down on the rotor and get the fork bolt in
