So im working on my car to get to replace my lower ball joints.
This Car is Rusty everything is seized up trying to take it off!
I had a 7ton puller on the passenger side rotor pressing on axle shaft... it came free "easy".
But when I was doing the driver side the rotor popped off breaking the screws-- that's fine i can replace thos.
Then when I was turning the hub it started to make this clacking sound.
I use the puller again and it finally (after 3 days) was free from the whole spindle and wheel!
But now My axle is very stiff, I can only manage to turn the axle in reverse and it's making this noise.
What do you think I did to it? should I replace it?
Back to working on my car today Surprisingly getting the cv axle out of the tran was way too simple. I have a picture inside of the tran where it goes nothing seems to be broken in there.
the axle it self on the outside looks fine. i haven't opened up the boot yet. is there any way to diagnose a bad cv axle out of the car?
the axle on the right side is sagging lower than the one on the left.
So when i turn the one of the right everything is fine everything moves fine.
but when i turn the axle on the left the right one prevents it from moving. I lifted up the right one a bit and everything started to move
