Default General Turbocharger questions while using 1000cc Grams Injectors

Hey, I'm in the process of a turbo build, once I get my check I will finally be getting the turbo kit and I was wondering around
how much hp I will getting on my setup with Skunk2 1000c grams injectors. My setup is

b16a2 head
ferrea 6000 turbo flat valves
blox dual valve springs and titanium retainers
blox type b cams (stage 2)
skunk2 pro series manifold
Skunk2 70mm throttle body

b18c1
Nippon turbo pistons
manley h beam rods
acl full bearings kit
stock sleeves and bore

i will be getting the tubornetics turbo kit, my friends been having his for a year and the turbocharger has no shaft play or oil leaks. Very solid so far for the cost.

That depends entirely on the turbocharger you decide to use. (There are over 140 combinations of "Turbonetics turbo kit", and saying "T3/T4" doesn't man anything to us. )

But considering that you're not sleeved or using some CSS CNC WERX, and you're on cast pistons, you won't be more than over 400whp safely anyway. the injectors are capable of much much more than that.

Should I just get 750cc then?

+1

Ive heard of some B18 with stock sleeves making 500+ but it can't last for long... I won't take mine past 400whp when I get it back on the dyno.

But with cast pistons? I wouldn't think those would be good past 300 or 350 tops

I ended up getting some wiseco turbo pistons instead so I should be good for 350hp at least

Nvm, just looked up those pistons and they are tested to 450whp "with proper tuning". So 400 safely.

That's not part of the bigger question. You need to state your power goals, type of fuel used and use of the car with your "Turbonetics Kit". Without that information, this whole thread has lost its point and should be closed.
Stop making us guess already and spill what the hell it is you're trying to do outside of your parts list.

I want to get 380whp at the most with this setup. I will be using 91 oct pump gas thats why I said 1000c should be good for that power but if it's to much then I would not get them because I won't be going any more with this setup. I just want right under 400whp.

I'd stick to 350WHP on the stock sleeves, but that's just me. The rest of your setup looks good.

I'd still get the 1000cc. I haven't looked at the retail of both those Grams injectors but I doubt there's much/any difference. The 1000cc will still idle just fine too, and leave you more room to grow. Less duty cycle on the injectors is always a good thing.

^agreed.

What "turbonetics kit" are you referring to? (Turbonetics doesn't offer a Honda kit themselves) Will the turbo in the kit support the power goal?

If you're only using 91 octane and no other knock resistant fuel, I'd get the 750cc. the whole "over-compensation" thing of you may grow later just doesn't apply if the supporting hardware doesn't either. Especially if only going for 380whp. What, to do so just because "you can?" Doesn't make sense. Hell, I'm on 850cc Siemen Dekas for over 600whp.
But Greg is right. What "Turbonetics Kit" are you referring to?

The turbocharger kit that I'm getting comes with 2.5" intercooler piping and the turbo itself can halndle up to 450whp. It's a 63 trim.

Post a link to the kit. I have suspicions this may not be as much of a direct fit as you have in mind.

Idk if I would downsize to 750's. Just my opinion, but if you ever decide to switch to e85 for it's many benefits, the 1000's may be needed.

Mine are close to maxxed out with e85 and I wish I had a little bit more capacity for some wiggle room.

x10000

Go-Autoworks offers some kits at roughly the same price as the one you listed to, and the quality and thought put into them will BLOW that ebay kit out of the water. If you actually want this build to work the way it was intended, and to have fun with it, do it right the first time.

Plus Greg from Go-Auto is top notch customer service and can help you with anything should it be needed.

Take the advice given here and buy from a reputable place. I've never bought an ebay kit, but one of my cousins did. Lets just say he would've spent way more to make it work if I couldn't tig.
