are ek9 and em1 front lca the same?
i was planning on getting new arms from honda but there expensive and i found a set of used ek9 ones for half the price

 

ok so i found out there different part numbers anyone know the difference?

 

They are 100% the same since they share the same front suspsension components (26mm sway bar, endlinks, oversized forks, yadda, yadda)
I used to have an EJ6 with EK9 FLCA-swaybar along with EM1 forks... all bolts up the same, both stamped steel.
Maybe the difference in part # is JDM vs. USDM

 

do you think i should buy a set of used ek9 ones if there in good condition or buy new em1 ones from honda for double the price?

 

The compliance bushings of the EK9 arms are roughly 4x as stiff... just buy the "EM1" ones and get some aftermarket bushings if you care about that.

 

so the ek9 bushings are stiffer then the em1 ones?
im eather getting new em1 arms from honda but there 180 each
or a used set of ek9 arms for half the price

how would the ek9 stiffer bushings feel? i didn't know they were 4x stiffer then the em1
i don't really want to buy aftermarket bushings i usually stick with oem..
but i don't see a part number for them

 

So.................what about the 1st gen CRV's? Look similar to em1 and ek9 CTR.

 

The Compliance bushings are the only OEM bushings you can buy seperately for the front LCA's.

I don't think it would be that harsh unless the rubber was needing to be replaced.

 

yea i just don't know if i should buy brand new em1 arms from the dealer or used ek9

 

If the bushings are good in the Ek9's , get those. Otherwise, buy new or buy mine and press in hardrace bushings and get a hard race or OEM Compliance!

 

Get the EK9 arms.

They are exactly the same except for the harder bushings.
