Default Inquiry: Looking for Oversize Pulley for 1.6litre

I have been searching the Web high and low for a oversized alternator pulley for a 1998 Honda civic ex coupe 1.4l. All I can find is a regular kit with original sized alt pulley.I'm in dire need. Or if anyone knows of a shorter alternator belt would be helpful for right now. Any help would be great! I'm new so sorry if this isn't the right spot.

I'll move you to the standard civic forum.
Are you sure you want 1.4 Litre? the EX came in 1.6 litre.

If you're from a different country, please state that in your screenname profile, or you'll get conflicting information.

In your title you say 1.6, but in your thread you say 1.4. Both exist, so some clarity would be beneficial. Also, why do you want an oversized pulley? It sounds like you're trying to do something potentially dangerous, that would be much better done a different way.

Yeah sorry it's a 1.6l,not sure why I put 1.4l. Not dangerous the pulley kit I had came with an oversized pulley but I lost it. Since the under drive pulley on the crank dropped my charging down to 13.8v or so I can't run a subwoofer because of the low voltage .I need a compete kit of pulleys that will run everything like it should. I have been busy with work so sorry for the late post.thanks guys.

Putting a larger pulley on the alternator will further reduce alternator rpm -- which is not what you want.

Simplest thing would be to put the stock crank pulley back on.

OP, what you described sounds like it was a kit for the under drive crank pulley and the over drive alternator pulley to maintain stock ratios.

Can you not just go to the kit supplier and see if you can get another alternator pulley?
