hey I know this would take hours explaining to me, but I want to learn the basics about engines - honestly I know nothing compared to most of you guys

Just wanted the break down on what these are

-Block
-Head
-Pistons / rings
-Any other things I should know of...

I want to buy the parts and learn how to make the engine (maybe a B16A1 block), if only I understood what I was trying to do - it would really help, please help me out!!!

get a service manual, it shows you how to do it in there

 

Um...that's more explaining than can be done in a post. Go find back issues of Sport Compact Car that have the Suck,Squish, Bang, Blow series in them. They cover most parts of the engine, and even did some turbo stuff. Otherwise, just read a lot of posts, and you will figure it out.

B16A1 block, vtec head, crank shaft / rod, pistons / piston rings

wlel the first thing u gota do....
buy urself a manual @ pepboys.. a haynes one.. read read read.... then u will have a better knowledge of what happens..that will help u a lot!!!!!1
