Default Help

Ok so I'm pretty stomped so I'm trying to put back stock shocks and struts the car was previously on coilovers.

The front was a breeze but the back is my problem. So I cannot get the drum brake assembly to line up on the control arm. I have a considerable amount of gap I need to press "down" on the assembly, this is the major problem! It's impossible to get "down" enough to line up the bolt hole.

i tried putting shock in first or bolting up the brake assembly first either or comes short. Please help me from not pulling out my hair

When I bolt up the the brake assembly then I have to move the arm with the bolted up shock "up" to line up the trailing arm holes right? When I try to use a jack it just jacks the whole car up it doesn't even compress the suspension???

I've put coilovers on atleast 8 cars I've never had this problem but then again I've never went back to stock suspension, do you think it's because of no alignment? Please help I'm fed up

remove the bolt that attaches the LCA to the subframe. Bolt the LCA to the rear wheel hub (no need to fully tighten, yet) and then bolt up the other side back to the subframe.

yeah, that's what I had to do on someone's Civic. The rear wheel hub didn't want to line up so I had to bolt that first, and then the subframe hole.

Well the rear passenger went in ok but not the driver side even after un bolting the LCA. I would jack up the subframe end of the Lca and try to get it lined up right before it would line up it would start to jack the whole car up tetter totting off the jack stands smh then I rage quit and called it a day

White, please edit your first post and add your car information. Lead by example bud.

And I know, this isn't exactly model specific but you are in the model specific section.

The other route is I move your thread to misc/tech.

Let me know.
