D3 & D4 lights on and blinking at same time
Guys I have a 2000 Civic LX d16y7. I was driving yesterday around a corner and the transmission disengaged is the only way I can explain it. I put the shifter into neutral and stopped. Tried to shift into any gear and heard grinding. Stopped car and put E brake on. Shifted into drive and got out of car to see. The trans was turning but the axles weren't.D3 &D4 lights were billing at the same time regardless if gear selection.. I have changed some of the motor / trans mounts due to loud noise and movement during shift into new gear and thought I had another case of the same thing . Hard shifting into R or drive or stomping on the accelerator for passing. Now I just get grinding like the axles are barely touching. Please help
If the speedometer goes up when you put in gear and try to move, that means an axle has broken or disengaged. If it stays at zero the transmission itself is not working.
I didn't notice the speedometer acting like that. And after I recreated it I saw the transmission turning while both axles we're not . This was in any gear I selected
