performed oil flush, Replaced Vtec solenoid.
Checked oil pressure at oil switch, has 15 psi at idle and 70 psi at 3000 rpm
Checked the oil pressure at the pressure switch on Vtec valve, had no oil pressure at idle and 25 to 30 psi at 3000 rpm
These readings were done at hot oil temp. Also when watching the pressure comes up slow on test guage
When cold works perfect. When cold outside low 50's it works for a long time before it stops working. When watching the scan tool you see it gets signal at solenoid but it's not enough pressure quick enough to get solenoid to work

Pull the solenoid and check the filter that it attaches to at the head to see if it's clogged up.

 

Checked the solenoid filter when solenoid was changed. Not clogged

 

check for upward dents in the oil pan that would prevent good oil pressure by restricting the oil pickup

 

Didn't notice any upward dents in oil pan, will recheck. Have pressure at the switch but looses pressure at the heads.
Thinking the problem might be with the cylinder head
