Kswap EG won't run, almost turns over.
Compression: 181,184, 190, 184. fuel 100%(58 psi stock inj), spark:yes. K-pro v1 w/stock k20A2 map/ old version(can't update). It cranks just fine, and back-fires a nice amount almost wants to start but can't. The one and only code is for the IACV and I can't disable it, as won't let me change anything! until I update but it won't even prompt me to. When I click display in K-manager it just shows the default screen as if the unit isn't even connected. I'm lost, i'm not opposed to going out and buying V4 but then it'll be a blank K-pro which isn't great either.
I would talk to Hondata. I have no idea if k-pro is anything like flashpro but it seems to me like you should be able to save the configuration to the registered owner profile, then I would think you could un-lync k-pro from the vehicle, then register the new unit and get access to your profile.
I don't actually know if they will let that work like that but it only makes sense to me.
I know when I just got this flashpro for my car, the manager was newer than the one previous owner was using and I had to reload the configuration into flashpro with the new manager. The configuration was built two owners prior. The difference being is the flashpro and car haven't changed, only registered owners.
Maybe Hondata can do something for you.

There's probably 50 calibrations on this thing(it's old), I was just able to update K-manager to v4.3.2(OCT 28/2016) I'll be taking it out to the car and seeing if I can find the map I should be using and make a few little changes. as right now it's basically showing the map Is non existent among key other sensors. I don't think I'm being locked out per-say when I look at the registered owner it's just blank, but if I need so switch to v4(white board) i'll see. Thanks, I'm almost 100% this is a k-pro issue unless it's so f**ked that it won't even show other DTC's.
I've contacted the last owner(guy I got it from) just waiting on him to tell me what his map is called. I guess I need to re-upload his map? so everything re-sets when you unplug/switch cars? I've never touch an EMS before so I'm lost.
It's new to me too. I just plugged flash pro into my laptop and it required me to download the configuration into it as the software was a newer version than the previous owner used.
I haven't connected it the car yet but it's my understanding, it's what is in the car already.
It definitely sounds like you are missing the tune in the car.
I was actually just going to let a tuner mess with it when I'm ready, it's already tuned for the mods it has.
Hopefully the previous owner can tell you the configuration you need. Then I suspect you have to hook both it and your laptop up to the car to reflash the ECU. But that's all I have determined so far.

How would the ecu detect it switched car? Or are you saying that after the ecu has been sitting for a while everything just got wiped.

No idea, he isn't the brightest so i'm lucky to get even an answer from him, i'm going to try and upload the closest map to my set up as that's how he ran it before me. No there's still tons of maps but I think the unit is blank and I need to upload "something"
K-Pro doesn't "Marry" itself to a specific car like FlashPro does... it has to be plugged into a car for the tune to work. Move it to another vehicle and the tune goes with it. FlashPro works differently in that it provides a method for replacing the stock programming in the ECU with customized programming... and thus "marries" itself to the vehicle so that it can not be used by multiple users.
The V1 K-Pro may have an on-board memory battery (early units did) that eventually stops functioning... so, once this occurs, the board will no longer hold a tune and cannot properly communicate with a laptop... thus, you cannot upload a calibration to it.
Try this procedure... if it works, great. If not, you have an ECU/K-Pro problem.
1) Download the most recent version of KManager from the Hondata website. Install it fully (drivers included).
2) Open KManager, hit the "new calibration" box in the upper left, select a calibration that most closely matches your engine combination.
3) Save it to your tunes folder using the FILE pull down and then SAVE AS... name it something besides what the name in the calibration library was and you are good.
4) Turn the ignition on, plug the laptop up to the ECU, and when the "up arrow" icon illuminates, press it to upload the tune you have created.
5) Turn the key off and back on. Crank the car.

Update: idle dealt with will re check stock k20a2 map but things seem good!
