Euro R H22A IACV Problems
Hey guys, I've been trying to chase down this problem, and have had no luck, and can't find anything like it in a search on any website. I have a 98 Prelude Type SH that I swapped a Euro R H22A, T2W4 transmission into, running it with the original PCD computer. When I got it, the IACV was bad, and instead of dropping the money on a new one right away, I blocked it off. Eventually, I got tired of how it ran without one, so I spent some money to get a new one from Shanghai. Now I have it installed, triple checked coolant line routing, uncovered a few wiring mistakes from when I installed it, but have since found the right wires (yellow/black and black/blue) as well as hooking up the third ground wire. Now, when I start it, the IACV doesn't seem to close. If I unplug it, then engine starts running differently and throws the P1519 code (surging from 1000-1200~ rpms) but with it plugged in, it surges from 1000-2300~ rpms. I have the intake off, and the hole in the throttle body (professional products tb) is pure vacuum, from the IACV letting in air. There is no FITV. I know the IACV is good, as when you jumper it, it will close momentarily. Any ideas as to why this isn't shutting/controlling the idle at all?
