Hello everyone.

I have a stock 2007 Civic and currently it does not give me more than 9 miles per gallon. I make short trips about 5 miles in the city, from the house to the office. There is no check light, I scanned it and do not have any code.

The only symptoms I have are the high fuel consumption, the car vibrates a little when I'm stopped at some traffic light with the air put on and I noticed a little kick when the car is cold and I put reverse. I have gone to two dealerships and I am told that as there is no code in the scanner can not do anything.

really need some help.

pd. Sorry for the bad english.

the only way you're getting only 9mpg's is if you have a massive fuel leak

You are only getting ~100 miles on a tank of gas?

I Just use half of thank and refill, with that I just get about 50 miles.. completely insane! There is no fuel on the garage floor, no gas smell.. I do't think a bad O2 Sensor can drop the fuel economy to this level.

Sounds more like someone is stealing your fuel.

Was the proper maintenance completed at the intervals? Have you changed your plugs? Engine air filter? Was the valve lash adjusted when required? Tire pressure, driving style, stop ad go traffic. They all add up. If you stomp on the gas from a dead stop, accelerate erratically, your fuel economy will go down.

Hi.

Tire pressure is 32 psi
Plugs was checked and suppose to be OK (not changed)
Al most all days I just drive from home to the office (about 2 mile trip, about 5 minutes)
Drive like a scary oldman
Air filter looks clean, change it about 18 months ago. (can be fuel filter?)
Go to the dealer 2 time in the last month and they says that there is no need to change the oil (I have about 18 month with the same oil but just 800 miles in that time)
Valve lash? Never do that, don't even know what is that. (on youtube now checking what it is)

The car has about 89,200 miles on it, don't now if that is important.
