Whats better Cross Drilled or Slotted Rotors???????
Cross-drilled are more prone to crack. IMO slotted are better but with brake technology these days you really don't need either slotted or cross-drilled for Honda's or Acura's. They really won't help much at all. Just get blank rotors from Autozone

The purpose of a crossdrilled is more for cooling while slotted is more for displacing the carbon dust from your breaks, i opted for the slotted because the Hawks HP+ produce alot of carbon dust, but when you have slotted or crossdrilled remember that its has less surface for the brake pads to have contact with.
I have personally used both types, sloteed on my first DA, warped after my first scca race, even after the brake in period. My current DA has cross drilled on it, seem to be good, over 20k miles of use and abuse (including racing) and still straight and solid. Never had any of the cracking problems most associate with them, but also don't really notice any more performance than a stock rotor? I'me with these guy's, save you're $$$$, buy sticky pads and go with it. I do however recommend s.s. brake lines, definetly firmed up the pedal pressure, really like those.

A solid (Brembo) blank is the best... Slotted, if you have no choice.
agreed i use to have a pair of cross drilled rotor's and the first time it rained when i was on the highway they warped like no one's bee's wax [Modified by hondafreakc5, 7:54 AM 11/11/2002]
I'm happy w/ my Brembo Blanks/Solid disc rotors and Hawp HPs... it was a definate improvement over stock (and my stock rotors and pads were warped anyway) and it didn't cost that much.. front pads were like $80 (pair).. rear pads were like $50 (pair) ... front rotors were like $30 (each).. rear pads were like $20(Each).. shipping was like $30 or 40... http://www.collettimotorsports.com... tall bottle of valvoline dot 3/4 was like $5 (from autozone)...took me about 2 hours or so to install and I was on my way...
