I have a 2010 Civic LX with a 1.8 liter and a 5 Speed manual. My issue is I have a no start no crank condition, well at least in sometimes. When I attempt to start the car by pushing in the clutch and holding it, putting the car and in neutral the car has a no start no crank. I had a buddy get in the car and try to start the car and with the same process it started up every time with him. He suggested that there might be a sensor in the seat that would affect the ignition system. I've tried sitting in different positions. This one has me confused so any help would be awesome!

 

it could just be the starter contacts going bad, when he gets in he may kick the car harder which allows the internal starter contacts to touch, this is more likely if the issue has been getting worse and worse over time
