Default Mounting Intercooler on JDM front DC2?

Was hoping some one could post pics of how they mounted their intercoolers on DC2 ? I have some ideas but just wanted to see how others have done theirs.

Thanks

No different than anyone else. It's based upon your exhaust manifold configuration. Once that's done, you then can start configuring the intercooler piping to work with the intercooler.

Please check some JDM front end setups with intercoolers. There are tons all over the forums here, including this one.

Or, start with photos of your car with your exhaust manifold configuration, and you can get assistance from there.

Well I'm using a Sheepey Top mount kit with single back door intercooler on my Dc2R. I do not have a front bumper support and only the thin bumper mounting bar in there. It seems like I can probably fab something up but was looking to see how others have theirs hanging to gather some ideas. Ill take some pics if need be.

Thanks

Most don't bothermaking a full beam depending upon the size intercooler. The larger yours is, the less you need. End tanks can have tap points on the ends so that you can make brackets from part of the lower portion of the radiator support to hold there, or just simply use the i/c piping.

if you're using a top mount than it should be for larger turbos for drag racing anyway, so that gives you a lot of room to work with.

Yes I'm using a BW 8374 1.05 t4 twin scroll. The sheepey intercooler has the Female threads in the top of the unit to be mounted from above which makes it a bit trickier. Here is a link to the intercooler I have.

so you'll need to get a little creative and drill tap at the bottom to mount brackets there, or possibly weld two aluminum brackets at the bottom of the core, then drill and tap at the bottom of the radiator support, and bolt it there.

I may look into welding some brackets thanks Shodan. Also looking to wire power to my Hondata 4port and was wondering if I could tap into ECU pin A25 for power? Since I have to run to A11 for the signal

I'm sorry, but I can't help in that area. I don't utilize MAC solenoids, nor have I touched a Hondata or modified OBD1 stock ECU since 2004.

the signal from the ECU is a negative power output, the other lead goes to switched positive usually tap into something near fuse box.

ok cool thanks, Well I thought a25 on the ecu was its power source so debated tapping that. Any suggestions on where to tap near fuse box?
