1991 Acura Integra
he issue I'm haveing (sorry for the long post) back in march I bough an all original 91 Acura Integra gs in the 3rd owner and have. Not had any issue till about Tuesday so Tuesday morning I get up and I drive to the store about 15 mins away and come back no issue til I came back and was about to park my idle dropped down to 200 so I reg it a lil bit and it goes back to normal idle so I finish parking well before I shut it off it drops down to 200 rpms and shuts off and it wouldn't start back up for about 30 mins and it would only run for like 30 sec like it's missing so I ended up having to take my wife to work and kids to school so it sat for an hour and all I come back and it started up and it ran for about a half hour well I was about to head to work and all so I wanted to make sure it was cool before i would get stranded so I reg it a few times and all is good so right when I'm about to pull of I reg it to 4500 rpm one last time well I let it come down and when it came down it went to 200 rpm and shut off and would fire again so I'm thinking it's fuel check everything and had pressure so I'm still lost and the only thing I did to it was on Sunday did an oil change new cap and new roter well they didn't have the cap so I put everything else on and. I issue till this happen so I go back to the store and buy another roter and more plugs well this time I got the cap so I put everything on and it fired up and runs so after about an hour and a half of it running and driving I get this backfire and popping like it's misfiring but it's not bogging the moter down or anything and it does it while at idle and while driving and I have no cel or anything I'm lost at this point has anyone had this promblem or now how to fix it thanks for any help or input
Ok, a couple things here.
See these? These are sentences. See that white space between the first line and the second? That's a page break. There is a period at the end of this sentence. These are good to use sometimes.
Second thing: the word is "rev", not "reg".
Ok, now that that is out of the way: check to make sure your CEL light comes on when you turn the key to the 'ON' position. If it doesn't come on, the bulb is burnt out or someone removed it. It should come on for about 2-3 seconds and then turn off every time you turn the key to ON.
How long have you owned the car, has it had any issues prior to you replacing the cap and rotor and plugs or did the problems start right after that?

The cel comes in like it should and goes off after the main clicks like it should I've owned the car sense feb and put 4000 miles on it I have had no issue with the car what so ever intill this and even after I did the cap and roter on Sunday. This didn't happen till Tuesday morning out of. Is where now someone told me I may have cracked the porclene on the plug and it would ark inside the head and all so yesterday I put another set of plugs in it and gaped it to .044 like it calls for and still the same issue but when I pulled the plugs that I had in sense tues there white as **** as it's running lean my only gues to this is that my injectors are not doing what there suppose to cause as I beleave I said before when i took off the like at the fuel regulator and turn the key on it almost touched the hood shooting it so I'm assuming I have decent pressure to there the only thing left would be the fuel rail and injectors??
Keep it simple. Use new copper plugs. Very common for spark plugs to fail and cause many headaches. Ignition coils fail when they over heat. Those two things are a cheap place to start. Also the IACV is serviceable. It's under the throttle body with a coolant hose going to it. You take off the 2 Phillips head screws, and thread the piece inside back down then reinstall.
