Default chipped p28 b16 lumpy idle

i have a stock 91 si b16a swap i have done my self. i recently gat chrome a a moates burner to activate my o2 sensor(was deactivated off a dude from ebay. i burned a edm p30 base map (because the jdm map gives me a code 36 and im trying to go to the ref). so i just copy a pasted all the maps to the edm p30 map . i also disabled iacv, vtp(didnt groud the wire like it says),eld, knock, dissabled checksum, injector test disabled vtec speed and coolant check. when i start my car p it runs perfectly. but wheni drive it or rev it up to aroung 5 grand it falls back to a extemly rich idle(you can smell it) and it almost sounds camed. but it only happens when you rev it up if i where to turn off the car then start it again it would act fine until i rev it up. help i know i am a noob ive been searching the net and cant find a thing. maybe im looking it up worng. so what am i doing wrong.

VTP is your Vtec pressure switch. Are you saying you disabled this setting? I would believe this is your problem. Fix anything and everything regarding this and its setting, try the car again, report results!

I am hoping somebody else may chime in on this one. There is a method to trick the ecu, but you'll actually want Vtec and from the description of your problem, it is not engaging for you. Now, given that you have it disabled in your program, I would suggest enabling it and starting from there. The wire trick is to keep your ECU thinking it has Vtec when you do not.. The only code you were throwing was specific to traction control, which USDM models did not have, from my understanding.. Anywho...

Make sure you have Vtec enabled in crome unless there is a mechanical reason you shut it off; i.e. missing parts, non-Vtec engine, etc.. B16A is in fact Vtec, yeah? Why would you disable it in your tune?

vtec engadges just a little later than usal and it dosnt pop as hard. so if i drive or rev in neutral to around 5 grand it idles like this. is it stuck in vtec?? is it stuck on the vtec map on the low cam? also my wiring harness is a rats nest i didnt want to deal with it . i took it out tried to fix the harness but the more i played with it old connectors broke ect. so im going to leave it alone until i can afford a rywire or something. lets just say the car im driving now is my dads and im in a rush to get my car legal(hate ca sometimes).so i will enable vtec pressure vtec coolant and vtp because i have them all dissabled?

I wish I could be of more assistance here but I'm not extremely proficient with VTEC. Your problem seems to be related to VTEC. Tuning that portion is not for beginners from my understanding, and the processes I have read up about it tell me it's nothing I EVER want to deal with. Lol. My suggestion to you at this point would be to research more into just that and find out what you can as it is exactly what I would do to be able to offer any more help to your trouble. Find out more about your already known issues concerning the harness, search what your VTEC engagement and disengagement points should be. Also make sure your maps are switching appropriately. If you are not throwing a trouble code specific to VTEC, then it is most likely tune related and not mechanical..
