Default HELP! ITR motor was rebuilt, think they missed an oil galley plug

Hi guys,

I have a 97 JDM ITR-swapped civic, soon to be running a disco potato turbo for autocross. The build was done locally by a reputable builder. But it looks like he may have forgotten to reinstall an oil galley plug. Seems like an easy thing to miss.

Diagnosis: We were cranking the motor with no plugs, to turn it over and get oil pressure. We have a gauge to monitor oil pressure. No pressure. So we detached the line at the sending unit, and pumped in 1/2 qt of the start up oil. Shortly thereafter, we noticed the huge pool of oil on the garage floor. Presumably, it is coming from this location. We're wondering if there's a plug here the builder forgot to reinstall.

Are any of you guys able to take a photo from this perspective of your ITR motor, so we can verify what the part looks like?

Thanks so much
Bill

Note the greenish start-up oil in the threads.
Zoomed out, this is the back side of the cylinder head, passenger side.
Close up of what i am assuming is an oil galley.

Yep that's spot on. We take the plugs out to clean the Head any time there is grinding that will generate debris.

it was correct for them to remove it for servicing but incorrect to not give them back to you for re-install especially since you can't get them from Honda.
