Transmission noise.

When I put my car into drive, there is a slight thunk noise, does this mean the transmission is going?

How many miles?

How many drain/refills have you done?

It could be a sign that you have never changed your Transmission oil as specified in your maintenance schedule.

Wore out motor and trans mounts could give you a healthy thunking when you put the vehicle in gear. Is it only when placing the car in a forward gear or also reverse?
