Default Squeaking noise that corresponds with speed when decelerating in gear...

I have a 93 Si with ~125k miles.

A couple months ago I noticed that when rolling out of a parking garage in gear, a loud squeaking noise (almost like a honk or bicycle horn) would happen once or twice and then seemed to disappear as the car was driven for a while. The frequency of this occurrence increased over time, to the point where it is constant now. If I'm in any gear and I decelerate, I hear a squeak-squeak-squeak that's very loud and audible outside the car. The noise seems to be related to wheel rpm as opposed to engine rpm. My best guess would have been a heat shield or brake shield that's somehow rubbing when the engine is torqued slightly.

Since I don't currently have a place or the tools to work on the car myself, I took it to the dealer to have the noise checked while the oil was changed. Apparently 2 lower motor mounts are broken, and a heat shield was loose. The heat shield was tightened but the mounts were left for when I reschedule. The direct cause of the noise was not determined.

I will have to get the mounts done at some point, but I'm wondering if this noise could be caused by excessive movement of the motor or if I've got some other issue.

Please let me know if you've had or can guess at what's causing the noise.
