Default How to install Honda '94 ignition assembly (The full casted unit not cylinder/switch)

I've been able to find a great used part for $200 to fix my poor little '94 Civic cx after it was jacked this week. She's in excellent condition in general as a car... but no way was I going to pay the $700 + replacement new part/labour when that's the price I got the whole car for.

I've been able to find several youtube vids on replacing the cylinder and switch / rekeying... But I need to know how to install the full unit into the steering column (the casting with the immobilizer bolt, that houses the cylinder and switch and has the wiring attached).

I've enough mechanical parts replacement to feel comfortable trying this but having not done anything related to electrical before I'm worried about doing it wrong and blowing a fuse or the like somehow (even though it's an older model) and creating further damage... It was hard enough to find that part to start with!

Thanks in advance!!

You use a center punch to punch loose the sheer bolts. That will let you get the back bracket plate off and the whole cast unit drops.

At about 4 minute mark you can see him tapping on the bolt heads with the punch to loosen them so he can drop the whole unit.

I like this video better as it shows it a lot clearer at the 3 minute mark:
