Can't grab spark plug with socket to turn it out can anyone help
I used a odb2 on my civic 1998 and it said miss firing so I checked plugs and one of them will not turn out can't get a grab with socket??
Look in the hole there must be some foreign object in there, like the rubber boot from the end of the wire. Use a wire with a hook on the end, or longnose pliers to fish it out.
+1 to above post. Just grab a flash light, if it's big enough to prevent socket closure, it should be plenty big enough to see. You could try blowing it out- whatever is down there.

Are you using a spark plug socket (not a regular socket). Is the spark plug hex base stripped? If not, try spraying the spark plug with a small amount of PB blaster and let it soak overnight.Try removing it while engine cold and if that doesn't work try removing when engine reaches operating temp. Most likely has rusted threads..how did the other plugs look when you removed them?
