question about highway cruising and boost
Whats up guys. Im building a turbo b18b with my sights set on a go autoworks street kit. I was/still kindof am planning on getting the base t3 super 60. Well, ive been doing some research and i found dyno graphs on Jeff evans dyno database and the super 60 on a b18b is fully spooled by about 3200-3500 rpm. So that got me thinking about highway cruising. My last LS powered car was about 3000 rpm at 65mph with 22inch tires. I dont want to be cruising at 70-80 mph at 14 psi because, well, gas mileage and engine longevity. Could anyone tell me (approximately) what rpm the optional turbo - a Turbonetics T3/T4B .63 A/R - would be fully spooled. Does that turbo have good transient response relative to the super 60? Thanks in advance.
Boost is based on load. You won't be in boost cruising at a steady speed with a turbo setup. You'll be in vacuum just as if it were NA until you start putting your foot down.
