D16 Won't start when hot
Alright guys I have an 89 CRX Si D16A6 only mod is IACV delete other than that the car is completely stock. I have been having problems lately where it won't start after I drive it around alittle. It will start fine time after time if the temp needle is below the cold mark but if it's above it at all it will just crank and crank but nothing happens. When it won't start I hear the main relay click fuel pump prime then click again which as I understand is how it should operate. I have spark at every plug and 12v at every injector when the ignition is on. I also tried having someone else turn it over while I sprayed starting fluid down the intake figuring it would start if the problem was due to lack of fuel, but the car still showed no interest in starting. Any help is appreciated so thanks in advance
sprayed starting fluid down the intake where exactly? like into the intake tube or did you hold the throttle body open a bit and crank it?
remove the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and crank the car. just unplug it leave it hanging. should provide enough air for the engine to start, if in fact the IACV delete is causing air starvation. yes, it does bump the fuel pressure up slightly, but it shouldn't matter... I'm looking for a small source of air, and that's about right.

any codes showing on the ECU? - most often, not starting when it is hot is due to a bad Main Relay or a bad Igniter - the bad Igniter would give you a code 15 (15 flashes on the ECU) - the Main Relay won't have a code, but if you don't have a Code 15, it is most likely a bad Mai Relay
what did you actually delete? - I doubt it was the IACV

the Main Relay is actually two relays in one - one supplies power to the ECU when the ignition is on and also supplies power to the second part of the relay which controls the fuel supply
well I can open it up and see if I see any cracked joints, I just figured that since I heard the pump prime I had fuel. Does the main relay tell the injectors to spray too? Or is that all ecu controlled?

the ECU controls the injectors - when you turn the ignition to "on", the check engine light should come on for a couple of seconds, the fuel pump should prime and then the CEL should turn off
