Just like the title States I want to know if I can use a obo 1990 Integra ECU for my swaped b18a1 1990 Honda CR-X hf the harness in the car is the stock hf harness


The ECU part number is 37820-pr4-a10.

 

It will plug into your chassis harness in the passenger floorboard, and likely run your B18B1, but you will get automatic transmission codes because "A10" is an automatic GS/LS ECU. You want a PR4 in "A01" or "A02" that has pre-OBD plugs from the 90-91 Integra 5-speed manual transmission model.

Outside of that I'm trying to think of other issues you'd encounter, but luckily your HF is already MPFI which saves you extra wiring headaches. But I am wondering what engine harness you're using, and how you're dealing with B18B1 plugs if using that HF harness.

B18B1 was an OBD1 or OBD2 engine found in the 94-01 Integra non-VTEC. It likely has OBD1 injector plugs, distributor, 4-wire o2 sensor, and other OBD1 plug differences from your HF engine harness. What engine harness, injectors, distributor, o2 sensor, etc. are you running?

 

It's running the SI obo injectors and the obo distributor that came with the engine ..The distributor shows up as a 1990 Integra distributor obo and the o2 sensor is a single wire. The car is running of from a SI obo computer..I just wanted to known if this other computer I have which is a b18a1 1990 obo ECU would run the car also because the connectors on this ECU is the same as the SI ECU.

 

Oh and just about every 1990-91 Integra ECU with the model number 37820-pr4-a10 on eBay and Amazon shows up as a 5 speed computer ...And when I run the number any where else ...it still shows up as a manual.

 

I looked the ECU up on an Acura Parts dealer's website and it said "does not fit" the 1990 Integra LS 5-speed I entered as "my" vehicle to cross ref the number. Have you already purchased the ECU? If so then plug it in, but if you get any A/T codes then you'll know it's an A/T ECU.

But I'm gonna say I think your mistaken kind sir.

 

Okay after more searching it looks like A10 is one of the many manual suffixes for 88-91 ECUs, so I was mistaken about the "A10" being auto.
