Hey, I've got a 97 Hatch with a B16a swap. The shifter has excessive play left and right while in gear and you can even notice it in neutral as well. I got under the car and where the spring pin goes through the linkage and connects to the tranny, the shift linkage was worn in an oval, causing the linkage to be loose at the spring pin.
I'm wondering if there is an easier/cheaper fix than replacing the whole shift linkage?
Thanks

Reason: wrong word
I've never heard of it, and can't find anything online? The closest I can find is the Innovative Shift Linkage End Joint, and that would fix my problem but I dont know how I would mount it to the stock b16 linkage.
buy all new shifter bushings from honda on the shifter end, buy a ES kit for the bushings, and get rid of the oem coupler and have a steering joint welded in place. Requires some fab but gets rid of oem coupler that is crap to begin with.

the oem u joint isnt crap per say its just that most every 88-91 leaks oil and that destroys the u joints

This is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen.
