Default Starting problems

03 Accord LX, wouldnt start or crank. Took starter out and had it tested, it failed the test. Bought new starter and replaced it. Car started fine at first but now wont start consistantly. It cranks but wont start, will start right away if jumped and starts ok for a couple days before needing to be jumped again. Battery reads 12.4 on multimeter and alternator read 14.3. What should I check next?

Best to go ahead and pull the battery and have it tested, without a load it might read ~12v but testing with a load will show it there are signs of an issue with it. While it is out, clean the terminals and when you re-install be sure they are tight.

Worked for a while, now wont start again, wont crank either. The starter clicks but wont turn over. Had the battery checked, its good. Checked for power to the starter, alternator and fuse box, all good. Took out the alternator and had it tested and it was good too. Not sure what to do?

Forgot to add, I changed the battery post connectors as well. Before when the car wouldn't start, after the starter replacement, I was able to jump it now it wont even jump start.

Test the voltage at the starter. Pull the small wire from the starter solenoid - yes, not fun if you have a 4 cyl as it is under the intake - and as someone tries to start the car measure the voltage on the wire.....what is it showing? I know you replaced it recently but please follow along.

IF you are getting batter voltage on the wire to the solenoid (BLK/WHT I thing - too lazy to verify), check the "larger" cable to be sure it is tight, might have worked lose after the replacement. If it is tight then go ahead and pull the starter and have it tested.

If you ARE NOT getting battery voltage on that small wire, we need to work "back up" the circuit to find out why.
