Default Diagnosing whistle sound on a EK {With Video]

Ever since purchase, this car has had this annoying *** whistle sound. I thought it was a exhaust leak, but I had it fixed and the problem is still there. The whistle isnt as obvious when cold, more after longer drives will it get increasingly annoying. Also it only seems to be upwards of 2.5k-3k rpm, I already checked for a loose exhaust cover but it is on tight!

Any people who'se had to deal with similar problems and know what it prolly is?

Here is a audible version of da whistle im talking about

Aftermarket exhaust? Put the stock one back on if u still have it. See if it still there. Kinda hard to tell but seems like exhaust resonance then anything else. Hard to tell from the vid. Check for vacuum leak around the engine bay.

It doesnt sound to be from the muffler, just the muffler has been changed! It really comes from the front end'ish area or beneath me. Dont pay too much attention to it other than being annoyed

Do you hear the whistle though? Not quite resonance imo

Faintly. Oh I just thought of something.
check your belt. Sometime belt will do that. Especially the gatorback belt, somehow on the civic it make a whistling sound. Bando (OEM) belt doesn't. Make sure all the belt is not cracked or loose.

I've checked n' doesnt appear to be making the whistling sounds, they are in solid condition.

Any other EK owners with a clue? Perhaps something under the car? Heat shield before the cat could produce such sound mayb?

Sounds like a pulley bearing on the motor to me.

Also, if that's a cheap aftermarket exhaust like bosal or walker, they are known to whistle.

Its just some dutch muffler honestly, eventho i must admit it sounds clean and deep!

How would you begin to diagnose such a whistle anyway? Check the gatorback belt pulleys for play?
