Default How can this Integra have over 200 hp?

Someone is selling an Integra with a B20 swap and he said that it has over 200 hp. This is the description.

I have a 2001 Acura integra just dropped in a b20 Jdm swap with about 60k miles on it chassis has 220k. Engine was built top to bottom new everything AC blows cold power windows and doors and sunroof everything work driver door key won't go in aux radio
Modification list
.Password jam carbon fiber intake
.Headers
.resonator delete
.rs axle back
.DNA coilovers
.xxr wheels 16x8
.nrg lugs
.nrg steering wheel
.invictus red bucket seats
.corbeau seat brackets
.type R lip
.type R wing

How can it have over 200 hp if it has a B20 engine?

Oops, somehow this got posted in the wrong forum, don't know how to move it.

I'll still answer even if it's in the wrong section.
It says engine is built top to bottom. mod list shows nothing related to engine internals though. That alone makes me skeptical of the whole thing to begin with
b20 can put out way more than 200hp n/a when built. but the mod list just says minor bolt ons, which will not make 200hp.

I actually don't see anything in that listing that says how much horsepower it has? I see that the B20 has about 60k miles on it and the chassis has over 220k miles on it? Did you by chance read that incorrectly?

I texted the seller and asked how much horsepower it has, he said over 200 hp.

Oh gotcha. Ha sorry but from what's provided I was confused. Ask for a dyno sheet then!

I already asked and he said that he didn't have it dyno'd.

He's just guessing based upon similar builds that have reached the dynamometer. If you doubt it that seriously, or you feel that the 200hp (sounds like it's to the crankshaft) is a "dealbreaker", just move on. Plain and simple, no?

If the engine in the Integra is a non-vtec B20... I find it very unlikely that it makes 200 HP... even at the crankshaft. If however, the engine is a built B20VTEC, it is quite possible that the engine produces the power stated with the proper components. Maybe suggest to the seller that you want him to dyno the car to prove the engine output before purchasing.

I love your wishful thinking. Even "test pull" costs would **** off a seller, and he'd rather not even sell it, if the dyno chart is a condition of the sale.

I mean, c'mon, you know that you've seen sellers complain about cleaning their cars as a condition of sale, much less use a dyno.

The quality of the "racing seats" he has installed should be enough to show you that he's full of it. At 220K is the body even in good shape? I rarely see integras that are even one uniform color anymore.

There were (2) different JDM B20 motors one with low compression 8:8:1 (126hp) and the other high compression 9:6:1 (146hp). The only way you can have 200hp is a fully built motor, FI or Frankenstein set up. You may can achieve it also if he was spraying.

If this is everything that he posted about the motor then I'm calling him out and he take his B20 and shove it up his rear end other then that till he list on what been done to the motor or even a dyno sheet to back it up.

I know allot of teg owners that have a LS/VTEC (I'm one of them) all motor fully built fully tune and there barely getting it to the 200whp mark I been seeing 160-197whp average. There are some that hit the 200whp or more.

Fellas, come on. It got "headerS".. The 2nd one gave him an extra 70hp. So the math adds up.. Butt dyno don't lie.. His butt dyno is strong with that one..

if its truly fully built slap a turbo on there. even if its not fully built, like fully built with reinforced pistons and rods. go Hondata s300. can get very good results if you go hondata

sorry man I was in a rush and just skimmed through it. any performance cams? should be listed if there were. I doubt he's making over 200. That mod list sounds like it just looks fast. but he's probably rolling 135. bolt ons like headers and a password jdm intake would be hard to make ''over 200'' unless hes done some tuning and if he has I'd ask for a dyno sheet. you said he doesn't have one. I'd forget about this guy. https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-m...m-b20b-332374/

I just love the torque it puts out. Not bad for a stock replacement in an integra. I enjoyed the passing power I had.

torque of a b20 is a major +. but don't pay for a ''fully built'' engine unless it can be verified...

I was talking about a stock high compression b20b, not the one in that stupid add though.

no thats what I was reffering to. 2.0 dohc is going to have some torque regardless. like more than a single jingle. more than a 1.8
