Probably nothing to worry about, but I like working on my car and want to make it run flawlessly.

Whenever I have steady throttle on the highway, I frequently get a slight loss of power. It feels like I'm taking my foot off the gas pedal for a half second. Got any ideas on what it could be?

I have brand new spark plugs, relatively new wires that have worked well in my old civic as of a month ago, brand new O2 sensors.

The only thing I can think of is that it's the distributor rotor which looks a bit shitty. But I'm up for suggestions so I can learn :D

Fuel filter more than likely.

Had a similar symptom as described in gf's car (98 civic,) had fuel filter replaced and it's been fine ever since. Go ahead and replace the cap and rotor too, or replace entire dizzy if red dust ia throughout. Preventative maintenance is key.

 

I have noted this infrequently and randomly on my car.

Of course you should make sure the basics like cap/rotor & fuel filter have been serviced.
