Civic Theft Prevention - Fuel Pump toggle?
Hello all,
My moderately beat up 1998 Civic was broken into last week; nothing showing to tempt them - Ignition switch showed signs of tampering - pretty sure they were trying to steal.
(They did get lucky; jacked my locked trunk release & stole a duffel bag in there. And they reefed out an amp I had bolted in pretty well...)
I want a theft deterrent, read that The Club is not really much of one, and that maybe a fuel pump toggle is a good low-budget option.
Anybody agree, or have other suggestions? (I would like to stress "low-budget".)
I was hoping there was a "How to" thread here, but have not been able to find one via searches.
Thank you in advance.

do like we do on our boats, big axx battery switch. they are rated for about 200 amps or more depending. ut it inline with the ground cable inside the console
I unplug fuel pump on my autox car.
I also remove Ecu if I'm parking anywhere questionable.
If you want the car, you better bring a flatbed.

my $3 kill switch saved my car from getting stolen.

I think I'll go with the kill switch; I did find some good tips, inc. here: How To: Extra Security - Fuel Kill Switch. | ClubCivic.com - Your Online Civic Community
I like the removing the ECU tip too - any tips to make that easy to do repeatedly?
Happy Friday~~~

After my Accord was stolen the stereo shop installed a Warloc high performance anti theft device inline with my fuel pump relay, Now even if theives have a key to ignition all it does is turn the engine over and no fuel no start. Its key fob has encrypted codes (comes with 2 fobs) so without the Warloc fob it won't start even with a key, I live in a marginal area and hondas get jacked every night, The shop made me buy one at www.warlocperformance.com and he installed it, So nice coming out in morning and knowing my car can't be stolen
