Turns over but won't fire...Help....
Ok little background on what I've got. 2000 Honda Accord Coupe EX
Some jackwagon broke the drive quarter glass out and stole my kids radio that didn't even work. He drives the car home from Dallas with duct tape on window and no radio. I hit up the salvage yard and pick up a stock radio. Drop it in and get the dash back together. The old head unit had an amp and woofer box in trunk so I pulled it out since the stocker don't need it. When I was determing the wiring I disconnected the amp power off the battery but when I was pulling the power wire off I shorted the power wire to case and it sparked. (I'm not sure why since the main cable was off the battery, maybe capacitors in amp)
So I get in and hit key and it turns over but no fire. I can't hear the fuel pump running but I can't recall hearing it before so that may be a non event. I did check the main fuse in the fuse box under the hood and it checked good, I checked the fuel pump fuse and it was good.
Now I'm lost. Please enlighten a ole bald fat guy.
Thanks in advance,
Dogman

Well I pulled the cover panel off the fuel pump area in the trunk and had the wife turn on the key and I can hear the fuel pump come on. Had her hit the key and the car fired right up. I figure the relay is on it's way out.
Thanks,

Is there spark and fuel?
If you don't have one, which is what I'm guessing check the wiring make sure it is in good condition/has continuity. Also check the pcm for faults a short to ground can burn out certain controlling circuits on the PCB, see this almost every day.
Should always take off the negative battery terminal when working on a car's electrical regardless of how careful you are.
