this morning i went to start my beloved crv, and it would just crank and crank. it has a new cap and rotor kit, plugs, wires, starter. its getting fuel. ive checked the plugs for spark and theres nothing. so could it be the whole distributor? any help would be much appreciated. but if there is another thread on this already, please link it! thanks guys.

 

If you have no spark then check the ignitor wire to the distributor that it is good and getting signal, if the wiring checks out fine then it may be the ignitor itself which is internal to the distributor. You can replace the ignitor or whole distributor assembly, only if it is deemed faulty.
