AC turns on Cooling fan, Condensor fan won't turn on
I have understood that the cooling fan is on the passenger side and the condenser fan is on the driver side.
If what I stated above is correct I have had the hardest time getting my condenser fan on. When I turn on my car and then turn on the AC, the compressor click on (affecting the rpms) and makes the coolant fan turn on. Never fails. What gives? What can I do? I usually hear the opposite being the issue. Thanks!

Forgot to state that the condenser fan NEVER turns on. My car over heats a bit sometimes. If I give it direct power it turns on. Any suggestions?
Get a set of test leads and apply battery voltage directly from the battery to the connector for the fan. If it doesn't turn on then the fan itself is bad.
Holmesnmanny,
Thanks for the advice. I have done that and the fan works. I even stated that in my previous post. I even used a multimeter and with the ignition in the ON position and the A/C off the plug that connects to the connector of the condenser fan reads it's getting power but when I turn on the A/C it goes away. I don't know what to make of it.

What year is the accord?
Also, have you checked the fuses in the fuse box under the hood?
There is a 15A fuse for the condenser fan.

Check the ac relay. You can swap it with one of the ones for the windows. They are the same. Without knowing what kind of car you have since you refuse to provide that useful information you will need to do some searches to find where it is located for your car. If the relay is fine and the fuses are fine it's likely the fan timer is bad. You will then need to search for the location of the fan timer for your car.
Thanks a lot holmesnmanny! 94 Accord EX. I've switched the relay with the window relay and same issue. I'll look in to the timer, coolant amount, and temperature sensor.

My first question after reading the above.....has the fan ever worked? If so what changed?
