03 CRV REAR 2" SPACER LIFT HELP!
So I bought the 2" spacer lift kit for my CRV last week and got it in yesterday. Everything looked straight forward so I tried the install. The fronts went on easily as the suspension up front had plenty of flexibility up and down. BUT when I got to the rears and tried to do the install the rear control arms and all was super stiff. I'm lost on how to install these spacers here. I can drop the strut assembly out but with the spacer on it, you cant move the control arm down far enough to reconnect it to the strut. So is there something I'm missing? been searching for an answer online the last few days and can find nothing. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
Yep, sounds like thats the issue. I would loosen that thing or spray some penetrating fluid into the bushings, as they could be very dried out and stiff. The spray helps lubricate and increase flexibility.
