Default Torquing with trans in gear

is it safe to torque my axle nuts with the trans in gear? (134ft pounds) and my ati fluidamper has to be torqued too. Is it safe to do so with the trans in gear?

just stick an allen wrench into the caliper in between the rotor fins with the brakes installed and the car in neutral, it will bottom out against the caliper which will lock it so you can torque the axle nut, you can even start the car and have someone push the brakes to lock it
