HRV D16W5 compatible crankshaft
Hi,
Looks like I need to replace my HRV's D16W5 crankshaft. I'm looking for compatible parts from other D16 engines because it seems like the D16W5 engine is not very common in my country and I'm having hard times locating one.
Can you please help?
Thanks a lot!
D.

The HR-V is a fairly new vehicle. Why does the crank need to be replaced already. If no abuse occurred I would take it to the dealer and have them warranty or goodwill it. Power train warranty should cover it.
This is how the engine looks after someone did it's first repair unfortunately without measuring the crank for damage.
Well, I guess I should have paid closer attention to what engine you stated your HR-V had. 2016 marks the introduction of the HR-V here to the US market (and with an R series not a D). My apologies for replying without adequate understanding. I hope someone else can be of better assistance.

2016 marks the introduction of 2nd gen HR-V.
I am relating to 1999-2006 HR-V which was the first honda crossover vehicle on the market.
Thanks anyway!
I believe the sell these engines on ebay. You should look into your local jdm used parts shop to see if they can help you locate a replacement.
