I've got a 1993 Honda Civic, started just fine yesterday and drove it to go get food. And this morning it would not start. It will crank but won't start. A few times it would run for about 3 seconds but wouldn't rev up and then stall and die and then back to just cranking when turning the key. I can hear the fuel pump prime when I turn the car on.

 

Check the mechanical timing. Any CEL codes?

 

Good way to learn troubleshooting. CEL also.

I had had no codes, the light stayed solid when checking

 

Wow lol, poke my head in the Civic section to see what's new... there's literally a "my car cranks but won't start" thread on top....

IDK how you haven't blown your brains out yet Ron.

 

Mook I should also mention that when I checked the spark I checked it from the distributer to the plug wire and not the end of the plug wire
