Default sohc d16 breathing

Does anyone else sohc out of a 92-95 si just breath like crazy, just a constant breathing that is real loud from their intake, seriously louder than i have ever heard before.

Pretty common if you ask me. Do you have a CAI or a short style. Shorter will cause it to be louder. I've got a CAI and it cut back on that sound...I kind of miss it every now and then.

Nope, that's just the way it's going to be. It sucks if you don't like the noise, but I really don't think anything is broken. Doesn't hurt to double check all your hoses, but other than that it sounds pretty normal. Hope this helps you out man.

my si is really loud. I have a short ram intake. Used to have a cai, but i cut it. I noticed a drastic difference in the sound. sooo much louder! I like it better actually. I honestly dont really see any diffrence in performance but the sound is very different and louder.

Mine actually whistles sometimes when I'm feathering the gas pedal.. That kinda gets annoying but I do like the "rumble" that it makes.. It makes my civic sound like one pissed off four banger..
