Transmission slipping

I have a 2001 Honda accord lx. The transmission seems to be slipping. I was told my catalic converter could be the issue... Is that possible?

Verify AT fluid level is full and fluid condition.
Verify CEL/D4 lamps work.
Check for any stored codes via the OBDII port.

If the 2001 still has a modulator cable, check that. I think maybe they quit with the cables after 97 or 98 though. If it's there, and too loose, you'll never get proper line pressures going.

USDM Accords used the H4A with the throttle valve cable from 90-97 in the 2.2 cars. In '98 the trans was fully computer controlled and the TV cable was replaced with a pair of linear solenoids.
