Default Low compression in 1 cylinder. Next Steps?

Hey folks, looking for suggestions. I have a 2004 accord V6 6MT, around 130k miles. The engine has been consuming oil for some time (not smoking much -- old post here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...codes-3211778/), and it recently popped the cylinder misfire codes for every cylinder. I finally pulled the plugs and did a compression test. Here are the results.

Cylinder 1: 158
Cylinder 2: 180
Cylinder 3: 175
Cylinder 4: 146
Cylinder 5: 65, 75 Wet
Cylinder 6: 173

There was a good bit of oil on the 5th cylinder coil pack, and the plugs were fairly dirty on 4, 5,& 6 cylinders. The first 3 looked pretty good. I ran the wet compression test on the low 5th cylinder and the compression went up a little. What should I do next? Hope it's a bad intake valve? Should I pull the head and look around at the valves. With 130k miles is this the time I should go looking for the J35 swap?

Opinion's please,

Thanks,

Joe

You could do a leak down test and get a better idea.....or depending on budget, plans and or desires - rip the head off and decide what to do from there.

Thanks for the response. I couldn't get a leak down tester, but decided to use my compression tester to help determine where the leak was. It seems like the air was leaking into the crankcase, so it appears to be the rings. I'm going to try soaking in marvel mystery oil for a few days and replace plugs and just drive it some more. Not going to pull the heads at this point. I'll post back results later.
