Its been a few years since I purchased any GM SyncroMesh FrictionModified fluid in Canada. Last time was a bugger, as I'm finding again. This stuff worked magic on my 1991 Honda Beat. From find'em and grind'em to no grind in the last 3 years. That's amazing and not a placebo!
The GM dealers always say "GM SM is the same as GM SM FM" Not so I say.
Per this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-m...nside-2314764/ I tried to find P/N 10953509 and was told its a USA number by the dealer (when the thread indicates its specifically Canada number), and instead they said I want 89021808...but the description says its only SM, not FM.
P/N 12377916 never came up in their system.
I've also read that 88900399 might be the right one.
Can someone clear up what the correct GM PN is for the FM fluid in 2016? Please and Thanks :-)

I just bought this in BC Canada earlier this year at the beginning of summer, so at most 4 months ago? Glad I had not tossed the bottle yet.

Not sure what the price or shipping would be but you could order from here:

I bought mine from my local dealership and he had to dig to find it in the back. 20 bucks a liter here in BC.
The guy said the only time they sell it, is when us Honda guys come in. :D

It looks like you have 2 labels there...can you peel back that label? I recall they were relabeled and there is again another PN under it?
Thanks!

Nice. Thanks. (late reply sorry!)
So the 88900399 they stock at my dealer is the same thing. Its easier to get than the 10953509 at least in my area.
Funny why they have so many part numbers for the same thing
