Whats a sure way of me knowing if my timing belt has been changed??
when i bought my car in march the guy i bought it from said he changed the timing belt.... is there anyway i can check to see if it has been changed?
inspect the timing belt for any signs of wear. This includes both the smooth surface on the outside as well as the inside of the belt. if the ribs on the belt dont show alot of wear, you should be ok. if the car is going on 60k. if the car has been maintained through honda, then they should be able to pull up the service record in their database.

The sure fire way to tell it's been changed is to change it.. I just did them on both my motors, just because I couldn't verify them being done. When in doubt, just do it.

I just changed them myself, I'm pretty comfortable with this stuff. I had to make a crank holder tool but that was pretty much the only hangup.. the belt cost me around 50 bucks US.

Dealer charges around $350 to start with. They also change the water pump, which is actually a very good idea.
