Default H22A Turbo Complete rebuild 1st start suggestions

Hey guys, I'm about to fire up a fully built h22a with a Precision 6262, into a del sol. This build has taken me a whopping 5 years to put together, so I'm looking for advice on what to do prior and during start up. I will have oil temp, oil pressure, boost and wide band gauges. A fuel pressure gauge mounted on the fuel rail.

I am using sae 10w-30 break in oil. Hondata s300 with 1000cc Injector base map. Please keep in mind all parts and seals are Brand new.

I plan on cranking the motor over with the spark plug wires un-hooked to build oil pressure. Would it be best to disconnect the fuel pump aswell so I don't flood the motor? (Aeromotive 350)

The turbo smart bov is set to fully soft. Waste gate springs are set to 19psi, although I am utilizing Hondata's boost control. I do not plan on reving or driving it so it shouldn't see boost.

Due to my setup I am using a scavenge pump feeding into a Moroso oil pan.

Turbo is being fed from a sandwich plate, the oil pressure sensor is in the sandwich plate aswell.

Hopefully I didn't leave out any important info, I don't want to lose intrest by posting nonsense. Thanks in advance, any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Leave the spark plugs / wires hooked up, just disconnect fuel pump to prime the turbocharger.

I'd you're using a scavenger pump, you'll need to check to see what oil pressure is after initial startup. That way you'll see whether or not you'll need a restrictor for that Precision.."item". :-) (despite what you were told by Precision on the phone, some applications do need restrictors for certain oil pressure readings)

Just a couple of cranks are all you need to get oil through the system.

It makes alot more sense to me aswell to just have the fuel pump disconnected. The scavenge pump is to drain the turbo. But I could see needing to restrict the pump to pump slower.

Thanks alot for the advice.

No problem.

Remember, the oil drain still must be gravity fed from the turbo to the pan itself, there's no getting around that part. This is something a lot of V8 twin setup owner use when they have the turbo fitting especially low, and can only use a 90* return fitting on their setup. BUT, the pump must be further down the oil line pathway; it can't "pull" the oil down the return line of the turbocharger. Otherwise, it will still cause an oil backup and you will think something is wrong with your Precision's oil sealing rings, when it really might not be... (but it could be later for other reasons).

Just be looking for that as you start and drive the car. there's no way to tell if you've put the pump in the right place until after driving for a bit. you'll know later.

Good luck to you.
